Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossils and traditional stone workshops. You can visit a local workshop to learn how fossilized materials are transformed into decorative products.

Continue toward Rissani, an important historic town in the Tafilalet region. Depending on the day, you may have time to explore its traditional souk and enjoy lunch before continuing toward Merzouga.

In the afternoon, the landscape gradually changes as the first golden dunes of Erg Chebbi appear. Begin your camel trek into the Sahara Desert, riding across the dunes while watching the sunset.

Merzouga: Full-Day Sahara Desert Exploration

Your private 4×4 excursion takes you to some of the most interesting places around Erg Chebbi. Visit the Hassi Labied oasis and, depending on seasonal conditions, Lake Dayet Srij, a natural area that can attract migratory birds.

Continue to Khamlia village, famous for its Gnawa music and cultural traditions. You can also visit a local nomadic family and share tea while learning about traditional desert life.

After lunch, continue through the desert landscapes and rocky plateaus surrounding the dunes. There is also time for optional activities such as quad biking and sandboarding.

Return to your Merzouga accommodation in the afternoon. Enjoy a relaxed evening and another opportunity to admire the changing colors of the dunes.

Day 3

Merzouga → Rissani → Erfoud → Todra Gorge → Tinghir

Along the way, you can stop for photographs and discover the changing scenery from desert plains to mountain landscapes. Continue toward Tinghir, a beautiful oasis town surrounded by palm groves and dramatic cliffs.

The highlight of the afternoon is Todra Gorge, one of southern Morocco's most impressive natural landscapes. The gorge is surrounded by towering limestone walls and offers a wonderful opportunity for a short walk and photography.

After exploring the gorge, continue to your accommodation in the Tinghir or Todra Gorge area.

The evening is free to relax at your hotel and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the oasis region.

Continue toward the Valley of the Roses, known for its rose cultivation and local products. Depending on the season, you may see rose fields and visit a small cooperative.

The journey then continues toward Skoura, a beautiful palm oasis known for its historic kasbahs. If time permits, visit the famous Kasbah Amridil before continuing to Ouarzazate.

Ouarzazate is often known as the gateway to the Sahara and is an important stop on southern Morocco's tourism route.

The five-day format gives you enough time to enjoy two different sides of the journey: the desert experience around Merzouga and the spectacular route west through Todra Gorge, Dades Valley, Ouarzazate and Aït Ben Haddou.

It is also a practical route because you start near the Sahara in Errachidia and finish in Marrakech, avoiding the need to return to your starting point.
