5-Day Morocco Student Tour from Tangier to MarrakechChefchaouen, Fes, the Sahara & Marrakech for student groups

Your Morocco student tour begins when our driver meets your group at Tangier Port. After everyone is comfortably seated in the private vehicle, leave Tangier and travel toward the Rif Mountains and Chefchaouen.

On arrival in Chefchaouen, you will have free time to walk through the blue-painted medina. Explore its narrow streets, small squares and local shops before reaching Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the main square in the old town. There will also be time for lunch before continuing the journey.

In the afternoon, leave Chefchaouen and travel through the countryside toward Fes. The drive gives students a first look at the changing landscapes of northern Morocco.

Arrive in Fes in the evening and check into your accommodation. After the journey from Tangier, the group can relax and prepare for the trip south toward the Sahara the following morning.

After breakfast, leave Fes and begin the journey south toward the Sahara Desert. The first stop will be Ifrane, a mountain town in the Middle Atlas, before continuing toward the cedar forest near Azrou.

If conditions allow, you may see Barbary macaques living in the forest. Continue through the mountains toward Midelt, where the group can stop for lunch.

In the afternoon, travel through the Ziz Valley, with panoramic stops overlooking its palm groves and rocky landscapes. Continue through Erfoud and toward Merzouga, where the dunes of Erg Chebbi appear on the horizon.

On arrival, meet your camel guides and ride across the dunes toward the desert camp. Stop on the sand to watch the sunset before reaching the camp.

Enjoy dinner followed by traditional music around the campfire and spend the night in the Sahara.

Wake up early if you would like to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the desert camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 and meet your driver.

Leave the Sahara and travel toward Rissani, an important traditional town in this part of southern Morocco. Continue through Erfoud and then toward Tinghir, passing desert plains, small villages and palm-filled valleys along the way.

The main stop of the day is Todra Gorge. Students will have time to walk between the high canyon walls, take photographs and enjoy the natural surroundings. After lunch, continue toward the Dades Valley.

Before reaching the hotel, there may be time for panoramic stops overlooking the valley and its unusual rock formations.

Arrive at your accommodation in the late afternoon or early evening. Enjoy dinner together at the hotel.

After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and travel through the Valley of Roses toward Ouarzazate. The road passes traditional villages, kasbahs and changing landscapes as you travel west.

Continue to Aït Ben Haddou, where the group will have time to explore the historic fortified village. Walk through its narrow passages and learn more about the traditional earthen architecture found throughout southern Morocco.

After the visit and a break for lunch, continue toward the High Atlas Mountains. Cross the mountains along the Tizi n'Tichka road, stopping at panoramic viewpoints when time and conditions allow.

In the late afternoon or evening, arrive in Marrakech and check into your accommodation.

Depending on your arrival time, students can enjoy some free time around Jemaa el-Fna and experience the lively atmosphere of Marrakech in the evening before returning to the hotel.

After an early breakfast, leave Marrakech for the final journey north to Tangier. This is the longest transfer of the tour, so the group will depart early and travel mainly by highway.

The journey takes you north through the Casablanca and Rabat areas. Depending on the group's schedule and the required arrival time in Tangier, your driver can arrange short stops for meals, refreshments and rest along the way.

Continue north toward Tangier, with the final arrival time planned around your ferry or onward travel arrangements whenever possible.

Upon arrival, the driver will drop the group at Tangier Port or another agreed location in the city.
